About
Michael Hunter is a lead research scientist with over 15 years of experience conducting multi-method studies and leading psychological and behavioral science research, supporting and managing grants spanning the domains of academia, private industry, and the Department of Defense (DoD). He offers expertise in study design, data collection, data quality and assurance, quantitative and qualitative analyses on complex and large datasets, management of sensitive data, scientific and technical report writing, peer review of scientific and technical reports, project management, and reporting to and engaging with leadership and stakeholders. In his more recent roles, he supported The Office of People Analytics as a research project lead, designing and conducting mixed-methods studies, data management, statistical analyses, and developing technical reports to inform policy on personnel suitability, organizational resilience, and suicide prevention within the DoD. He also developed statistical toolkits and products to support data analysis efforts within the DoD. Previously, Dr. Hunter utilized research using mixed-methods to assess the feasibility and utility of wearable technologies to assess physiological responses in the context of workload, stress, and mental health. Michael is currently consulting as a freelance Research and Data Specialist, where his services range from study development, data processing and statistical analyses to technical and scientific manuscript development.
